Hotel Flora

A fairly charismatic family-run mid-range choice, with characteristic interiors and rather a quaint charm, though maybe a little old-fashioned for some.
In a secluded location just off a busy street, it benefits above all from a peaceful and particularly green, if small, rear courtyard – a tranquil retreat to drop after you've shopped at the many designer stores nearby perhaps. St. Mark's Square, the Fenice Theatre and the Grand Canal are all close by.
Exterior
A 4-storey ivy-covered brick building with green shutters, built in 2 wings around a central courtyard, dating from the 17th century
Property type: Hotel
Storeys: 4
Interior
The neat lobby has a homely feel, with a small seating area to one side. The tiny bar has nothing but 2 stools for seating, and leads to a lounge-cum-breakfast room, which is split into 2 areas, one slightly smarter with some red velvet chairs and sofas.
Rooms: 44
Grounds
A narrow rear tiled courtyard, with a few metal tables and chairs and abundant plants, leads to a wider gravelled area with more of the same, overlooked by ivy-covered walls.
