Hotel Palazzo Giovannelli

A highly individual choice housed in a faithfully-restored palazzo that retains much of the building's character while providing a fresh contemporary ambience.
Many rooms offer views over the Grand Canal and it has its own landing stage, though the street entrance is a little hard to find.
Being a little off the beaten track is however a major part of its appeal, and it's a very suitable choice to guests returning to the city who want something different off the tourist trail.
Exterior
A handsome white 4-storey former 16th-century palace with dark windows, a terracotta roof and small narrow balconies to some rooms. A narrow wooden-decked courtyard leads to the rear entrance. Opened as a hotel in 2010.
