Locanda Del Ghetto

This simple but welcoming B&B lies at the heart of the original Jewish ghetto, an area that is still strong in Jewish flavour. Facilities are understandably limited, but it offers a very personal welcome and the opportunity of a slightly different experience in a quiet characteristic district slightly off the main tourist trail, while a vaporetto stop is fairly close by for access to other parts of the city. Two rooms have terraces overlooking the square.
Exterior
A shabby-looking pale-coloured 3-storey townhouse with green shutters and tall arched windows on the upper-floor.
Originally dating from the 15th century, it was converted into a synagogue in the 16th, and the hotel, which occupies the first two floors, opened in 2001. The top floor is still used as a synagogue.
